About the Event

In this Lacan Scotland talk, Dr Robert Beshara will build on his work in A Psychoanalytic Biography of Ye: The Legacy of Unconditional Love, which covers five years in Kanye West’s career (2016-2021), to reflect further on the ethics, politics, and aesthetics of his latest music project Vultures 1–his collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign. The talk will focus, in particular, on the question of fascism while also considering the specificity of Ye’s manic-depressive subjectivity.
